Welcome to the Topic “How to Delete YouTube History?”
Did you know that Google stores your history of YouTube searches and viewing activity? That means they can see what you’ve watched on the site, when you watched it, and where you watched it (if that information is available). This may feel like a breach of trust or an invasion of privacy. It’s not something most users expect from an online video site that many use as a personal streaming hub for cat videos. If you’re uncomfortable with Google storing all these details about your viewing activity, here’s how to delete your YouTube history.
If you want to delete your entire YouTube history, you’ll first have to log into your account. Once you’re in your account, open the Settings page. You can find this page by clicking on your account image in the top right corner and selecting Settings from the drop-down menu. On the Settings page, scroll down until you see the Account History section.
Click the “Manage history” option. You will see a list of your YouTube activities. Click the blue “Delete all” button to delete your entire YouTube history. Your history won’t be completely gone right away. Google will keep a record of your history for 18 months as part of its effort to comply with data retention laws. If you want to delete your history sooner, you can contact Google and ask them to delete it immediately.
If you want to delete your viewing history for a specific date, you’ll have to use the search bar at the top of the page. To find the viewing history for a specific date, select the appropriate date from the drop-down calendar. Once you’ve selected the date you want to delete, use the search bar to find a certain video. If you type in the name of the video, Google should find it and display it at the top of the page.
Once you’ve found the video you want to delete, click the three dots in the top right corner of the video. Select “Remove” from the drop-down menu. Next, select “Remove from the account.” You will see a confirmation page. Click the “Remove” button. You will return to the page with your viewing history. You can select another video to delete if you want to keep deleting it until your history is completely gone.
If you want to completely cut Google out of the equation when you’re watching YouTube, you can enable “incognito mode.” This will prevent Google from storing your viewing data and search history. To enable “incognito mode” on YouTube, log into your account and click the “Settings” tab in the top right corner.
From the drop-down menu, select “Account.” Select “Privacy” from the drop-down menu. Select “Turn on Incognito” from the “History” section. Once you’ve enabled “incognito mode,” YouTube will not store any data about your watching activity. Your viewing history will be completely deleted once you exit the browser tab and close your browser.
If you don’t want Google to store any data about your YouTube viewing activity, you can ask them to delete it immediately. To do this, log into your account and click the “Settings” tab in the top right corner. From the drop-down menu, select “Manage Data Usage.” Next, click the “Manage history” button. You will see a list of your watching activity.
Select “Delete all” from the drop-down menu. You will see a confirmation page. Select “Delete” to delete all of your histories. If you only want Google to delete your viewing history for a specific date, select the appropriate date from the drop-down calendar. Once you’ve selected the date you want to delete, click the “Delete” button. You will see a confirmation page.
There are several reasons you might want to delete your YouTube viewing history. Maybe you’re concerned about your privacy, or you want to use the site incognito. Or maybe you just want to clean up your browser history for aesthetic reasons. Whatever your reason, you can quickly and easily delete your YouTube viewing history from the YouTube website.
Just log into your account, select the date you want to delete your search history, and use the search bar to find the video you want to delete. Once you’ve found the video, click the three dots in the top right corner and select “remove.” Next, select “Remove from the search history” and click “Remove” on the confirmation page. You can repeat this process until all of your viewing histories are gone.
